My Life + Stress= Valium

These last few months I've probably had the most stress I have ever had in my life.... Everything seems to be a big ol mess. I know every one has been there; you have work, kids, family, and finances.. Everything going on at the same time and you take it til 1 of 2 things happens

1.You get feed up and send everyone to hell
2.Your body starts to shut down forcing you to re-evaluate your situation

So yesterday I had my annual physical, I've been getting these really bad headaches and seem to always have a pain in the Neck. Turns out I have tension (duh) in my neck creating muscle spasms. So my doctor prescribes Valium.... Great Now I get to turn into a junkie. LOL

The fact that I know I now have muscles spasm is only stressing me out more!!!!

So now I feel my body is making me "re-evaluate" my situation.... this could take awhile.

RAMBLIN-A Crazy Person and Orange eyebrows

Why is it when I’m on the bus or the train the crazy people always want to talk to me? I am not really a morning person. I don’t really want to talk to anyone that’s why I always carry my Ipod-mini but sometimes I forget and that’s when the Crazies want to chit-chat.

I get on the bus last week and I head to the back to find me a seat. I see this man that looks like he is talking to himself but i'm thinking he has an earpiece and I just can’t see it. So I sit 2 seats away from him . Everything is going fine and then he taps me on the shoulder…” Are you a native New Yorker,” he asks

Oh man I don’t want to be rude but I don’t want to talk to you.
I just nod yes and hope that he leaves me alone NO SUCH LUCK. He taps me again” can I talk to you”? Of course he doesn’t let me answer and starts to go on and on about how he is from Jersey and that we New Yorkers are rude…. Know I was gonna defend my New Yorker self but by now he is talking to me and the person in his head so I decide that I am not messing with crazy today and I let him go on until I reach my stop.

Today I get on the bus and who’s on the bus? You guessed it Mr. Crazy…. I look toward the back of the bus and quickly detour to the front. Sitting across from me is a lady in her mid-fifties and she has Orange eyebrows. Not Red, orange. Like the kind you find in a box of crayons. Now I tried and tried not to look at her eyebrows but I just couldn’t help it, its like when a women has a mustache and she is talking to you, you can’t help but stare at her mustache like: “don’t she know she has hair on her face” but fortunately she got off at the next stop or I was going to be bugging out on her eyebrows the entire time.

Why cant people see the signs?

I know someone that was “dumped” for lack of a better word and she says it took her completely by surprised, I told her she missed the signs.

We have all been in relationships where you see the “signs” that shit just aint going right... I can honestly say that I pretty much know when a relationship is about to be over although I did get blind-sided once with an Ex(I sooo did not see the end of that coming) but I pretty much know when the relationship is over. Lets list some signs shall we?

1. Sex Reduction ---- Example {It goes from 3 times a week to 3 times a month

2. Emotional Distance—Example {you use to tell each other everything now your selective about the things you say

3. Hypothetical conversations --Example {“If we were to break up” ....You know the Drill. LOL

4. Prep Plans- Example {Assessing your life with out them in it. i.e. How you’ll cover the bills on your own etc.

These are just a few but believe it or not a lot of people miss these signs…..

Have you ever missed the signs? When did you know it was over?

Who would you Erase?

Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind

PLOT: A couple undergo a procedure to erase each other from their memories when their relationship turns sour.

I was watching this movie the other day and it got me to thinking…. Is there someone in my life that I would like erased?

No. I think that everyone in my life has help to shape the person that I am today…. I would like to revisit the sad things in my past and if I could there are a few changes I would make just to see what the outcome of that situation would have been if I had handle it differently but to completely erase someone… No.

I try to learn from previous relationships. I make mental notes along the way and "banked" them should I ever have the same situation come up I can refer to my “Banked Thoughts”.

Overall People come in your life for a reason but sometimes you just want to forget them for reasons only you can understand..

So if you could Erased someone would you? If so who and why?

Why do we as women have to have issues with the Ex of our man?

Why do we as women have to have issues with the Ex of our man?

I get this a lot. People just assume that I cant stand my husbands ex-wife but that so not the case. I don’t know her to like or dis-like her. My husband has told me stories about what she had done to him but that’s just his version. There are 3 version to every story, His, hers and the truth and that’s somewhere in between.

People try to make waves and tell me things like “ she is sooo pretty” and “ she is soooo smart” etc. Good for her. I don’t hold anything against her cause I don’t know her. Her and my husband have mutual friends and share God children so there is still some contact and this fact tends to draw weird stares from others. “ You let him still talk to her? Yeah why not its talk, not sex. I don’t have a problem with that but it seems others do. I am completely secure in my relationship. If there is no trust what’s the point?

In the event that my husband and I go our separate ways I expect to communicate with him on a regular and I would hate to think that I am going to have to have to deal with a NEW women not being secure in herself or not liking me for just having once be in a relationship with him.

But my question is why do some women feel the need to talk bad about the ex?

I am Puerto Rican, I swear!!!

Ok let me explain, I was born and raise in New York. My Parents are both from Puerto Rico. So Even though I was born here I consider myself Puerto Rican. I love my culture, I can hold my own on that dance floor as far as Salsa is concerned and my spanish is not so bad considering my parents only spoke to us in english, but there are somethings that some people consider the mark of a true Puerto Rican and here I tend to fall short.

So here it is for all the world to see....

1. I don't like Pastelles or alcapurias
2. I don't eat mangos or kenepas
3. I don't eat Monfogo or sankocho
4. I don't eat Flan or Farina
5. I don't drink Mavi or Coco Rico

Side Note: ( not sure I spelled these right)

The list could go on and on but these are some of the few that my hispanic and even non-hispanic friends tend to flip out about.

" Your not Puerto Rican" thats what I get every time we have the "Food" discussion.

Then I feel like I have to go into defense mode to prove my Puertoricaness- ( i know thats not a word but its my post)

So just cause I prefer cheese cake to flan doesn't mean I am not Puerto Rican, I just hate FLAN!!!!

So what do people expect you to eat according to you race that you just don't?

I know I cant be alone in this...

I was thinking about the people in my life that Id like God to help and it led me to this post

God please help him see that she is all but gone. Help him make the changes to make the relationship work. Help him remember why she is so special and that he takes her for granted.

God please help her find the love again. Help her see the good in him. To appreciate what he can do and not focus so much and what he wont. Help her understand that despite everything he loves her.

God please help her see she is worth more. That love just isn’t enough. That strength like hers should be praised on a regular.

God help him see that she deserves more. That struggling is for everyone and when working as a team the struggle is lessened.

God help her to grow and mature. Help her see that life is full of opportunity and she should not settle.

God help him see its ok to feel overwhelmed, bitter and hurt but its not ok to wallow in it forever. Help him bring down the wall around his heart. Its ok to want for others but don’t forget about yourself.

God help them move on. Things happen, words are said, but life is too short to live with anger in there hearts.

Bless them and keep them safe along with the rest of the world…

Thanks for listening
