I will be taking the next few days off.... I am in deseparate need of some mental R&R.

With 2006 just a few days a way I decided that a wouldn't make any resolutions this year just list of the things I would like, so here it goes



1. I would like to spend more one-on-one time with my kids.
[I’m usually the disciplinarian but I would like to do more fun stuff with them and not so much "go take a bath"!]

2. I would like to go back to school
[Once I figure out what I would like to do]

3. I would like to take some time to be alone.
[I think I need to make more “alone time” for me. I need to relax more and learn its ok to do so.]

4. I would like to buy a car and drive myself around on a regular.
[J and Nicky you better not laugh.. I can do it!]

5. I would like to make more money.
[Who wouldn’t right?]

6. I would like to develop a relationship with a guy that has nothing to do with love or sex.
[Sometimes I just want a guys opinion]

7. I would like to make peace with my body and all its flaws.
[I really need to work on this ASAP]

Day two of this transit strike and I must say Im a little annoyed now cause I still have some shopping to do and I need to get down town. :-(

If you dont live in NYC then you may not know this but we are experiencing a TRANSIT STRIKE.... thats right the MTA has pretty much shut the city down.

If your expected to be at work today your either walking, rollerblading, carpool or you slept at your job last night. All NYC public schools are on a 2 hour delay schedule so kids are rolling out of bed at 8am and class starts about 10am..... I dont think they are so upset about that LOL.

Now I only live about a mile from work but took my time getting in since I knew I would be the firsst no matter what time I got here. The strike doesn't bother me that much other than I am not done with my x-mas shopping but I guess I will be giving out I.O.U's instead..... So Im just taking it in stride and hoping tomorrow will be a beter day.

This is rotten day and its only 9:30am… to start my kids lie……all week long I asked them “ did you do your homework” and all I got was “ I did it already” so last night while my kids slept I decided to check it. They just decided that they weren’t going to do part of it cause “ they didn’t know they had to do that part”. WTF!!!!!!!! So this morning they had to do it as fast as possible cause they were not going in late and I wasn’t going to cover for their lying asses!


After I drop them off on the bus I get home to get ready for work and Guess what? There is NO HOT WATER!!!! I can’t believe this shit!!!! So I had to take it back….. I started boiling water so that I could take a bath…. {Don’t act like ya’ll never done it}

After work I have to go and change a shirt I bought for my niece cause it’s to big and I really don’t want to go to stores after work, I just want to go home!!


Why am I trying to buy boots on-line when I haven’t paid my rent? I’m not even done with my x-mas Shopping !!!!

I was watching a talk show and the topic was “CHEATING Spouses”. There were men that cheated on their wives, wives that cheated on their husbands and a psychologist that said, “Monogamy is unnatural”.

It got me to thinking, yes I believe in marriage but I understand what the Psy-doc was saying. How many of us really stay with one partner forever. Whether its husband & wife or Boyfriend/girlfriend or whatever a lot of people still love their partners but go outside the marriage just for sex. For example Swingers.


These couples say that they love each other and wouldn’t consider divorce but sexually they need something else. Years ago if I had seen this show I would have said “ these people are crazy” but after being in a marriage for almost 13 years I understand what these couples are talking about.

Side note: Not that I’m saying that i'm gonna start swinging… the only swinging I’ll be doing is from a rope around my neck if I ever mention some shit like that to my man but I see what they mean


After your together for so long you know each others bodies so well that it becomes routing and once that happens having sex is more of a “have to” than a “want to” So these couples do what they do just for the pleasure but remain faithful to their spouses emotionally. I’m interested in how they handle the other lovers, what are the rules? And how does one keep the emotions about of the bedroom?

Ever have the most amazing sex that for the rest of the week thats all you can think about? What makes the sex so great?

For me its more than just the physical. I like to feel like we have connected on some level.... sex without a connection to me is just a waste. Now Why is it that some people can have casual sex and never feel connected to the other person while some cant even be intimate without first knowing your whole life story.

I've heard the whole "friends with benefits” song and dance from people, but can you really have sex without feelings?

Why is it that I always get stuck walking behind people that walk like they don’t have no where to go…… MOVE!

Why haven’t I got my kids their Christmas Presents? I wish I knew what they wanted.

I was thinking about the New games console that are out today and how all these kids are going crazy over them…. Whats the big deal? then I thought about the games I use to play when I was a kid and all these warm and fuzzy memories came back.



1. Pac-man/Ms. Pac-man- I think these were the first real games I had ever played

2. Donkey Kong – I use to love this game


3. Frogger- I can honestly say I use to crack up when the frog got run over

4. Kaboom- you had to have a different joy-stick for this but it was an easy game


5. Vanguard- When you get extra points it had this really cute song

6. Pitfall- I loved watching the man swing from vine to vine


7. Space invaders- You could shoot and other spaceships and save the people( shaped like a box)

You aren't a big drinker, but you'll drink if the atmosphere is festive. And when you're drunk, watch out! You're easily carried away.

I’m not even going to go into too many details but Friday night was a hell of a night.We all decide to meet to celebrate Nicky’s birthday. We get to the place and the drinks are flowing all is good except my neck is giving me some problems, I contemplate leaving but Nicky’s my sister and I’m not going out like that so I take some IBUPROFIN and keep it moving ……. After about 4 0r 5 Drinks the ladies… well were a little out of it but thankfully we were in the company of gentlemen so everything was cool.


Then it happens…… One of use is not feeling so good. This person is not having a good experience but fortunately this person had 2 angels looking out for this person cause the rest of us were to drunk and we were ready to shake our asses on the dance floor.


Dancing is cool but we are starting to feel the GUILTS we have left half of our party upstairs so its time to leave and take care of that person…. Now I wanted to take this person to the ER but this person was having nun-of-it. So we decide to take this person home

Now catching a cab in NY is hard enough, trying to get one to go to the Bronx almost impossible So MCM goes into action and I’m getting a little nervous cause I’m still drunk and it looks like we may be having to fight (thanks to MCM) and I am so not ready to… but that’s my girls so I gets ready…..


Side Note: Thankfully no fighting had to go down cause as toasted as I was I think I would have gotten my ass kicked. LOL


So after MCM finally gets a cab….the rest of us attempt the same but no dice .. Yours truly had to ride the “Iron Horse” Now if you know me you know I hate to take the train but believe it or not after all that liquor I wasn’t even mad at that.


So the moral of this story is either eat before you drink of don’t start a fight when you’re drunk! LOL :-)
